Today, Thousand Islands Regency together with tens of Untung Jawa Island residents, South Thousand Islands held Jumat Bersih activity by Untung Jawa Island Campground, Thousand Islands.

"It is important to maintain our region clean, especially in tourist destination areas. Thus tourists can enjoy Thousand Islands' beauty," said Husein Murad, Thousand Islands Regent, Friday (6/21).

According to him, Thousand Islands Regency is always committed to be a part of New Face of Jakarta by arranging Thousand Islands continuously.

"We have built interesting selfie spots, such as Perahu Khole in Kelapa Island, Kursi Pengantin in Untung Jawa Island, and Mahligai Cinta in Tidung Island," he informed.

Thousand Islands Vice Regent, Junaedi added, Untung Jawa Island Campground is potential to be Thousand Islands culinary spot for eating while seating on the grass or locally known as 'lesehan'.

"Its location is perfect for visitors who want to eat on the grass or sand since its location near the coastal area. It is potential to be developed into one of favorite tourist destination areas in Untung Jawa Island," he conveyed.

Meanwhile, Untung Jawa Island Urban Village Head, Supriyadi mentioned, this Jumat Bersih activity, his side has collected 50 cubic of household waste and twigs from tree pruning.

"We will keep the waste temporarily in our TPS while waiting for KM Bersih Laut to come," he added.
